Several of everyone’s favorite merry mutants will be featured in the new X-title, X-Men Forever, written by Chris Claremont. X-Men Forever picks up right where Claremont’s 90’s run left off, with X-Men #3. Anything goes in this reboot too since it is a totally separate reality/time line from current Marvel events, so you never know who will make an appearance.
This weekend at WonderCon 2009 in San Francisco, Marvel Comics announced the launch of Uncanny X-Men: First Class. Written by Scott Gray with artwork provided by Roger Cruz, the next generation of students begin their journey at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters.
The series kicks off just after the X-Men get back from their M’Kraan Crystal adventure shown in Uncanny #107-#108. The books team will feature Cyclops, Storm, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Banshee,and Phoenix!
I’m VERY excited about this series, it features a very solid team wqith some of my favorite characters. I can’t wait to see Banshee and Pheonix in action again! I’ll post pictures ASAP.
Phoenix appeared briefly in her Green Phoenix costume during the Secret Invasion story line, she was among several heroes rescued from a downed Skrull ship. Spoilers, highlight between the astricks to read *Phoenix and Beast from the Skrull ship were killed, and reverted to their Skrull forms upon their death*

Fans of Ultimate Fantastic Four and Ultimate X-Men, however, will be disappointed to hear confirmation of the popular rumor/fact that both books are being canceled. “Following issue #60 of Ultimate Fantastic Four and issue #100 of Ultimate X-Men, I believe those books will go dark. After that we’re reformulating our plans in light of Ultimatum. As to what happens to UFF and UXM, we have some thoughts, but nothing I’d like to mention just yet.
